Romanian employees rank among last in the European Union on the number of mandatory days off work, according to a recent study by Mercer Marsh Benefits. Romanians have 29 free days by law a year, which include the minimum days of paid holidays and the legal days off on major holidays. This places Romania second to last in the ranking, and on a par with Germany and Ireland.
