Romania, among world’s top 30 most transparent real estate markets
Romania is among the transparent real estate markets in terms of information availability, according to this year’s edition of JLL’s Global Real Estate Transparency Index.
Romania ranks 29th out of 100 markets covered by this index.
The scores are based on 186 indicators, grouped into six areas: performance measurement, market fundamentals, governance of listed vehicles, regulatory & legal frameworks, transaction process and environmental sustainability.
With a composite score of 2.5 (on a scale of 1 to 5), Romania has a more transparent real estate market than big emerging markets such as Russia, China, Brazil and Turkey, and even than some other EU countries, such as Greece, Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria.
The most transparent real estate market in the world is UK, with a score of 1.2 while the opaquest is Venezuela, with a score of 4.7.
