Romania decided to suspend the activity of its Embassy in the Ukrainian capital on February 26, not long after Russia launched its invasion of the country. The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release at that time, announcing the successful repatriation of the Embassy staff to Romania.
Minister Aurescu announced Romania’s plans to reopen its Embassy in Kyiv about a month ago.
