Selected Romanian food and drinks producers are representing Romania at the ongoing International Green Week (IGW) fair in Berlin, Germany. The fair opened on January 17 and is set to close on January 26.

Romanian producers are providing cheese, sausages, dairy products, Romanian plum brandy called tuica, among others samples, for German visitors at the fair. Hand made products are also on display and sale at Romania's stand.

The country's stand is located next to the stands of Uzbekistan, Hungary, Argentina, Mongolia and Brazil this year. Compared to previous years, the Romanian stand has been well attended and recognized by visitors this year, according to a producer presenting his products from the Maramures region.

Producers from all over the world come to International Green Week to test market food and luxury items and reinforce their brand image.

Established in 1926, the IGW is one of the biggest international exhibitions for food, agricultural and horticultural industries, featuring commercial and non-commercial agricultural, forestry and landscaping exhibits.
