Romania sees new car registrations increase
New car registrations in Romania increased in the first quarter of the 2015 by 8.3% year-on-year, reaching 14,452 units, according to data from the Romanian Association of Carmaker and Importers (APIA).
In March, car sales increased by 17.1% year-on-year, from 4,577 units in 2014 to 5,358. The European car market rose by 8.6% year-on-year in the first three months of 2015, amounting to 3.52 million units.
Dacia sales went up by 5.1% in the EU, from 90,796 to 95,414 cars. Its market share went down to 2.7% at the end of the first quarter, from a 2.8% market share at the end of March 2014.
