Romania has third-highest increase in construction work in the EU
Romania recorded the third largest growth in construction work in the European Union in June compared to the same month last year.
With an increase of 4.6%, Romania was exceeded only by Sweden, with 16.3%, and Spain, with 6.9%, according to EU’s statistical office Eurostat.
At EU level, construction work recorded an annual decline of 0.6% in June. The euro zone also saw a decrease of 0.6%.
Romania also had the fifth-highest increase in the EU in construction work in June compared to the previous month. Its monthly growth amounted to 0.4%. It was surpassed by Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Spain.
The production in the construction sector saw a monthly increase of 0.3% at EU level and stagnated in the euro zone.
