Romania to upgrade key road infrastructure for Dacia - Renault with EUR 18.8 mln

Romania's Transport Ministry will invest EUR 18.8 million in upgrading the road infrastructure around the Dacia-Groupe Renault factory and the Renault Technologie Roumanie center. The ministry will built four lanes on 4.1 kilometers of national road DN 73 and on a connection road DN 73D. The investment aims at easing the traffic from the Dacia factory to the Bucharest – Pitesti highway.

A second project targets the Baldana – Titu segment, which will also have four lanes, aiming at an easier connection to the Renault Technologie Roumanie testing center.

“These two projects support the creation of new jobs in the Romanian economy. Dacia-Renault is an extremely important company in increasing the production capacity for the Romanian industry. At the same time, we will support the mobility of the 2,200 young Romanians Dacia – Renault prepares and specializes in Romania,” said Transport Minister Anca Boagiu.
