The governments of Romania and the US will sign an agreement for cooperation in preventing and combating serious crime.

By concluding this agreement, Romania meets another technical criteria required by the Visa Waiver Program, in the liberalization process of the visas for Romanian citizens traveling to the US.

Romania and the US will cooperate in preventing serious crime, such as terrorist offenses and will exchange relevant information in this field. Both countries will have access to the national systems for identifying fingerprints and to the DNA-related analysis files.
