China and Romania are currently analyzing the option to open a Beijing – Bucharest airline route, as well as to offer attractive packages for Chinese tourists to Romania. The analyzed tourism offer would include a transit stay in Romania for Chinese tourists which already have a visa for another EU state, which allows them to spend five days in transit, either at the beginning or at the end of the stay scheduled for elsewhere in Europe.

Romania has also proposed to simplify visa operations for organized tourism, which can be easier processed than in case of individual tourists.

There are currently no direct flights connecting Bucharest to Beijing.
