Romania wins four medals at the International Geography Olympiad in Poland

Romania won four gold medals at the International Geography Olympiad organized in Krakow, Poland, according to the Romanian Ministry of Education. With two gold medals, a silver and a bronze, Romania came first in Europe and third in the world after Singapore and Australia.

Andra-Cosmina Albulescu and Cosmina-Andreea Manea won the gold medals, while Aura-Elena Amironesei won silver. The bronze medal went to Romanian student Anca-Maria Radulescu.

Over 140 students from 36 countries participated at this year’s edition of the Olympiad.
