Romania wins silver at women’s 8 final at World Rowing Championships in South Korea
Romania has won silver in the women’s 8+ final at the World Rowing Championships in Chungju, South Korea.
Romania’s team, consisting of Cristina Ilie, Ionela Zaharia, Cristina Grigoras, Ioana Craciun, Camelia Lupascu, Andreea Boghian, Roxana Cogianu, Nicoleta Albu and Daniela Druncea, placed second in yesterday's race (September 1) with a time of six minutes and 7.04 seconds.
The United States won gold in 6:02.14, while Canada was third in 6:09.34.
The 2013 World Rowing Championships were held at Chungju in South Korea between August 25 – September 1, 2013. The event was attended by some 2,300 people from 80 countries, of which some 2,200 players and staff members.
