Romanian actor Emil Hossu dies at 70
Romanian film and theater actor Emil Hossu died Wednesday evening ( January 25 ) at the age of 70 from a heart attack, during a rehearsal at the Nottara theater in Bucharest.
Born in November 1941 in Ocna Sibiului, Romanian Emil Hossu's career crossed generations. He starred in numerous Romanian films, such as ‘Toamna bobocilor’ - 1975 (Freshman’s autumn), ‘Iarna bobocilor’ - 1977 (Freshman’s winter), ’Cel mai iubit dintre pamanteni’ - 1993 (The most beloved of earthlings), ‘Balanta’ - 1992 (Balance), ‘Une mere comme on n'en fait plus’ - 1997, and ‘Triunghiul mortii’ - 1999 (Death triangle). He also starred in many theater plays, as well as in several radio plays.
Emil Hossu was married to the Romanian actress Catrinel Dumitrescu.
