Romanian actress Maia Morgenstern, footballer Helmuth Duckadam, among Romania's promoters abroad
Romanian tourism will be promoted abroad with the help of several famous Romanians, such as actress Maia Morgenstern (in picture), footballer Helmuth Duckadam and actor Dan Puric, Tourism Minister Maria Grapini told local news agency Mediafax.
“On January 30, during an event to be organized at the Hilton hotel in Bucharest, several personalities will be appointed ambassadors of Romanian tourism and will promote Romania under an agreement we’ll sign with them. Some of them are Maia Morgenstern, Dan Puric, Dumitru Prunariu, Dinu Sararu and Constantin Chiriac,’ said the Romanian minister.
Other famous Romanians to promote the country abroad are Octavian Bellu, Mariana Bitang, Nadia Comaneci, Helmuth Duckadam, Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica and Nicolae Voiculet.
They will promote Romanian tourism at events organized in the country and abroad, and will also attend tourism fairs abroad, according to Grapini.
Other eight famous Romanians were appointed ambassadors of Romanian tourism in August last year, namely Grigore Lese, Elisabeta Lipa, Ilie Nastase, Ivan Patzaichin, Stefan Popa Popas, Iolanda Balas Soter, Gabriela Szabo and Gheorghe Zamfir.
