Romanian Andrei Rosu awaits world record confirmation after 14 marathons in two years
Romanians marathon runner Andrei Rosu, who run seven marathons and seven ultra marathons on seven continents in less than two years, signed up for the Guinness World Records in the category 'Fastest time to run marathon and ultra marathon on each continent'.
Andrei Rosu's latest marathons were in New Zealand and Brazil. The 53-km route in New Zealand took him 7 hours and 49 minutes to complete, while the 50-km one in Brazil was done in 5 hours and 22 minutes.
These were the last two running competitions of the Romanian's project. He run at the North Pole, at the Australian Outback Marathon, at the Eurasia Marathon, Antarctic Ice Marathon, went to Africa for the Sahara Marathon, then moved up to the Everest Marathon.
The Romanian expects the official confirmation of his record from Guinness World Records in about two weeks.
