Romanian Artmark takes art auction to Monte Carlo
Romanian auction house Artmark will organize on Sunday, July 22, starting at 20:30, new impressionist and modern art and jewelry auctions, which will take place in tandem in Monte Carlo at Hotel Metropole and in Romanian seaside resort Mamaia at Hotela Vega.
The impressionist and modern art auction will have 51 Romanian paint masterpieces such as the paintings “Doua surori” (Two sisters) by Nicolae Tonitza, “Flori de vara” (Summer flowers)-Stefan Luchian and “Interiorul din atelierul din Palace Dauphine” ( The interior of the workshop from Dauphine Palace)-Theodor Pallady.
The second part of the international auction Romania-Monaco is dedicated to 50 rare jewelry pieces, such as a Bucherer ring made of platinum decorated with large emerald Cut diamonds, an Art Deco brooch made of platinum and diamonds, and a Harry Winston bracelet made of white gold and diamonds.
Monte Carlo has started to be a very attractive place for rich Romanians. Investors such as Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, Cristian Burci, Dan Fisher, politician Mircea Geoana and TV star Mihaela Radulescu are said to own houses in Monte Carlo and spend their holidays there frequently.
