Romanian brand Dacia's car registrations in France slide by a quarter
Car registrations for the Romanian brand Dacia went down by almost a quarter in the first five months of this year in France, the home for Dacia's majority owner, Renault. Only 31,400 Dacia cars were registered in France in the first five months of this year, and Dacia's market share during this period went down by 3.25 percentage points, to some 40 percent.
The month of May brought an increase, of 5.3 percent and some 6,800 Dacia units registered in France. Overall, for the first five month, Dacia Duster ranks 12th in France among the best sold in the first five months, with some 14,600 cars, while Dacia Sandero ranks 16th with 11,900 units sold. The Logan is in 62nd place, with almost 3,200 cars sold.
