Romanian building material producer ups sales by 13% on sector growth
Construction material producer AdePlast, owned by Romanian entrepreneur Marcel Barbut, recorded a turnover of EUR 77 million in 2016, up 13% compared to the previous year.
The company estimates a similar growth pace for this year, if no major political and economic changes intervene, reports Prodit.ro.
Its exports amounted to EUR 4 million, up 36% compared to the previous year.
Romania’s construction sector recorded a significant growth of 10.5% in 2015. The growth pace was expected to slow down in 2016, but still remains positive.
“We consider that the year 2016 was extremely good for AdePlast and the construction area, in general,” said Marcel Barbut.
AdePlast produces polystyrene used for insulation, adhesives, mortars, and paints, so its evolution depends on the evolution of the construction sector. The company has three industrial platforms located in Oradea, Ploiesti, and Roman.
