Romanian businessman George Copos to build office tower in Bucharest with EUR 70 mln
Construction works at the Ana Tower office building near the Crowne Plaza hotel in Bucharest will start in three to six months, according to Romanian businessman George Copos, quoted by Mediafax newswire. He added that the property will have an area of 33,000 sqm and will require an investment of EUR 70 million.
George Copos owns a land plot of 3,500 sqm near Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, which he also controls, where he announced in 2008 he wanted to build an office tower. Due to financial crisis, the construction was delayed, along with other real estate projects that the businessman had announced.
Businessman George Copos, the owner of Ana Holding group and Rapid Bucuresti football team, has several hotels in Romania – the Athenee Palace Hilton and Crowne Plaza in Bucharest, Europa and Astoria in Eforie Nord seaside resort and several units in Poiana Brasov.
