Romanian candidate's hearing for European Commisioner set

The hearing of Corina Cretu, Romania’s candidate for European Commissioner, in front of the European Parliament’s Regional Development committee will take place on October 1, 2014, according to the official schedule of the European Parliament.

Corina Cretu was nominated by the new president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, to be the new European Commissioner for Regional Policy.

The three-hour hearing starts with the candidate's 15-minute speech, followed by a questions and answers session. The responsible committee has to finalize its evaluation within 24 hours after the hearing.

After hearings for all 28 candidates, which will end on October 7, the European Parliament will give its final vote.
