Romanian Carturesti opens first bookstore in Bucharest shopping center with EUR 200,000
Romanian bookstore network Carturesti has recently opened a 450 sqm bookshop in Afi Palace Cotroceni in the capital city. This is the first Carturesti store opened in a shopping center in Bucharest and the 13th unit in the country. The investment amounted to over EUR 200,000.
In 2010, Carturesti reported a turnover of EUR 6.4 million, and losses of EUR 109,000. The network ‘s total number of employees reached 159. On November 22, 2011, Carturesti will celebrate 11 years since the first bookstore was opened.
