Romanian Central Bank's FX reserves down in November
Foreign exchange reserves at the National Bank of Romania (BNR) amounted to EUR 31.4 billion on November 30, 2014, down by EUR 0.8 billion in comparison to October 31, 2014, when they amounted to EUR 32.2 billion, according to information released yesterday by BNR.
In November, about EUR 1.14 billion were cashed in BNR's accounts, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserves created by credit institutions, or inflows into the Ministry of Finance and the European Commission accounts.
During the same period, about EUR 1.8 billion were cashed out from BNR's accounts, representing the impact of the decision to reduce the minimum required reserve ratio applicable to foreign exchange liabilities, from 16% to 14%.
