The value of the Microsoft and EADS contracts reviewed by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) in the cases covering the lease of Microsoft IT licenses exceeds EUR 1 billion, according to DNA Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi.

“In the case of the Microsoft licenses, the suspected value of the bribe and influence peddling is around EUR 60 million, but has to be yet determined. People who have signed contracts for the Microsoft licenses are also involved in the EADS file, so there are ministers that appear in both files. That’s why the cases take together,”Kovesi said, cited by local Agerpres.
