Classical music lovers from 11 European countries will be able to listen on the radio to the Romanian classical music concert on February 1 at the Radio Hall in Bucharest. Works of famous Romanian composers will be broadcast in Denmark, Germany, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Norway.

Pieces by George Enescu, Constantin Silvestri, Sigismund Toduţă and Paul Constantinescu will be performed by the National Radio Orchestra in Bucharest, under the baton of conductor Tiberiu Soare.

Flute performer Ionuţ Bogdan Ştefănescu (in picture), the only Romanian artist who owns an 18-karat gold flute from Japanese company Muramatsu, will be the special guest of the evening.

The February 1 concert, which will start at 19:00 (Romania time) is part of the Euroradio program, an international exchange of high quality radio programs started by the European Broadcasting Union. The concert will mark a century from the birth of Constantin Silvestri, who was a London Philharmonic conductor, and commemorates 50 years since the birth of composer Paul Constantinescu.
