Romanian communication group BDR Associates upped its turnover by 5 percent last year, to some EUR 1.9 million. The figure represented 50 percent growth on 2009's turnover.

“2011 was a balanced year, even though in full recession, the agency increased its clients portfolio, by winning several bids or developing new projects for traditional clients […] we have become stronger in the Republic of Moldova market,” said Catalina Stan, president and CEO of BDR Associates (in picture).

The firm plans a 10 percent increase in business for this year. BDR Associates started to communicate for clients like Lidl, Flextronics, Cord Romania, Minuzzo Italyan Style last year, while its new clients in the Republic of Moldova include Adriatic Fund investment fund and the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova.

BDR Associates was founded by Catalina Stan 17 years ago and was affiliated with A Hill + Knowlton Strategies in 2003.
