Romanian currency slightly appreciates after peak RON/EUR exchange rate level last week
The national currency slightly strengthened on Tuesday, when the Romanian Central Bank (BNR) published an exchange rate of RON 4.3537 per EUR, with 0.03 Romanian bani under the level of RON 4.3540 per EUR posted by BNR on Monday.
The exchange rate reached its peak last week, when it went up to RON 4.3585/EUR. The historical maximum of RON 4.3688 per EUR was reached on June 30, 2010.
The national currency also appreciated on Tuesday against the U.S. dollar to a level of RON 3.1617 for an USD, down 0.99 Romanian bani compared to the level of RON 3.1716 for an USD posted by BNR Monday.
