Romanian Dacia sales in France return to growth
Dacia sales in France gained momentum in September, recording an 11.5% increase year-on-year.
Over 7,500 new Dacia cars were registered in France last month. By comparison, Dacia sales totaled less than 5,000 units in August, decreasing by 16.3% year-on-year.
The Renault registrations went up by 4.9% in France in September, whereas the Volkswagen sales rose by 12.6% despite the scandal on having rigged diesel engine emissions tests in America and Europe. The Ford registrations rose by 18.3%.
Overall, the French car market increased by 9.1% in September year-on-year, reports local Economica.net.
In the first nine months of the year, the Dacia sales in France dropped by 5.7% to almost 75,000 compared to the same period last year.
