Romanian Dacia sales up by a third in France

Romanian carmaker Dacia’s sales rose by 33.7% in France in February compared to the same month in 2015.

In January, the sales dropped by 2.5% year-on-year.

Dacia car registrations in France reached over 8,800 last month, compared to some 6,600 in February last year.

In total, some 167,000 cars were registered in France in the ended month, up by 13% year-on-year. The Renault group increased its sales by 14.2% whereas the sales of Peugeot Citroën rose by 9.8%.

In the first two months of the year, the Dacia car sales increased by 15% in France to some 17,500 units. The French car market went up by 8.7%, in the same period, to over 305,000.
