Romanian Dacia sells more than 22,000 cars in the UK
Romanian car brand Dacia sold 22,359 cars on the UK market between January and November 2014, up 48% year-on-year, reports local Agerpres.
Dacia sold 1,729 cars on the UK market last month, down by 14.6% year-on-year.
New car sales in the UK went up by 9.4% to 2.3 million units, between January and November 2014, reaching the highest level since 2007, boosted by economic recovery and cheap credit, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Dacia was taken over by Renault in 1999 and was re-launched with the Logan model in 2004. The Romanian brand soon became a well-known player on the European car market.
