Romanian dairy maker Albalact’s turnover up 23 percent in first half of the year
Romanian dairy producer Albalact reported a turnover of some EUR 46.6 million (RON 204.5 million) in the first half of 2013, a year-on-year increase of 23 percent. The company’s net profit also went up in the first six months of the year, to around EUR 1 million (RON 4.4 million).
Albalact is the largest Romanian-owned dairy producer, and also the third largest dairy maker in the country, based on its production capacity. It produces and sells the brands Fulga, Zuzu, de Albalact and Raraul.
Albalact is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (symbol ALBZ). In 2012, the company recorded a profit of some EUR 1.6 million (RON 7.3 million), up 27 percent over the previous year, and a turnover of EUR 77 million (RON 343 million).
