Design in public spaces will be the main theme of Romanian Design Week taking place this spring in Bucharest. The organizers have already called for projects for the main exhibition and for the collateral events. The deadline for submissions is February 21, 18,00, Romania time.

Romanian Design Week 2014, scheduled to take place between May 16 and 25, will focus on the importance of design in public spaces and the way design is actually improving our daily life.

Those who want to submit projects can submit the form here  and then send an e-mail to hello@romaniandesignweek.com (with the subject “main exhibition – name of the category”), with a photo archive – all the relevant photos with the works that you want to exhibit and at least 5 with other relevant works.

Romanian Design Week was created and organized by The Institute, and after a preview edition in 2013, it will have its first official edition this year. The event is dedicated to Romanian design, and will involve cultural venues, galleries, design studios, hotels and restaurants. It will include exhibitions, pop-up shops, creative conferences, parties and other events.
