A Romanian website which aggregates discount offers recently bought two competitors and consolidated its position on the market.

Redutti.ro acquired its direct competitors Adulmec.ro and CautaReduceri.ro. The former had bought the latter in 2012. The value of the recent deal was not announced, but Redutti announced the two acquired platforms required investments of over USD 500,000 in the last two years, according to Wall-Street.ro.

“The Americans at Adulmec have done a lot of good things in Romania, but our vision turned out to be dominant,” said Andrei Stefan, CEO of Redutti, a company which has a database of 600,000 potential buyers.

Discount offer website saw a boom in 2012, but the market eroded which led to losses and closed projects in 2013.
