Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman opens new EUR 11 mln store in Deva

Romanian Do-It-Yourself retailer Dedeman will open a new store in Deva on August 15, following an investment of some EUR 11 million.

The new unit covers an area of some 11,000 sqm, has 221 parking places and is the company’s second store opened in Romania this year, after the one inaugurated in Sibiu. Dedeman plans two new openings, in Bucharest and Targu Jiu.

Dedeman, owned by Romanians Adrian and Dragos Paval, currently owns 37 stores in Romania, two logistics centers and a car park. Its portfolio includes over 45,000 products, covering 11 areas. The company employs over 6,900 people.
