Romanian drug producer Biofarm’s sales up 10% in the first quarter
Pharmaceutical company Biofarm Bucuresti (BVB ticker: BIO) saw its sales increase by 10 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year, to some EUR 8.2 million, according to the company’s quarterly report. Net profit was up 13 percent to EUR 2.2 million.
Biofarm is an independent pharmaceutical company that is controlled by three Romanian investment funds, SIF Muntenia, SIF Banat-Crisana and SIF Moldova. The company is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and has a market value of EUR 71 million.
