Romanian film ‘Crulic - the path to beyond’ gets two awards at film festival in Mexico

Romania-Poland film ‘Crulic - the path to beyond’ (Crulic - drumul spre dincolo) got two awards at the FICUNAM international film festival in Mexico. Anca Damian, the film’s director, won the Puma de Plata Award and the movie also picked up the Public’s Award.

The film has received several other awards, such as a Special Mention at Don Quixote in Locarno, Special Mention of the jury in Warsaw IFF, Special Mention of the jury in Cottbus, Best Romanian Documentary in Astra FF, and Amnesty Award in CPH DOX.

‘Crulic - the path to beyond’ tells the story of a 33-year-old Romanian prisoner, who died in a Polish prison while on hunger strike. Find out more about the film here and watch the trailer below.
