Romanian gadget producer Evolio focuses more on smartphones
Romanian IT&C producer Evolio has started focusing more on smartphones, and recently launched its fourth smartphone model, called Neos. Evolio sold more phone than tablets in September.
The new phone is available both as single SIM – which will be sold with subscription by telecom operators, and as dual SIM. The company wants to sell 10,000 such phones by year-end, and 50,000 units in the next six months, according to Liviu Nistoran, Evolio's founder and president, quoted by Capital.
Evolio entered the smartphone market in the beginning of this year, and managed to cover a quarter of its sales by selling smartphones. Tablets made 60% of the business in the first nine months of the year.
The company’s business stood at EUR 4.7 million during this period, and targets EUR 7.5 million by year-end. This would be EUR 2 million above the 2013 results.
