Local gas producers are required, starting 2015, to sell at least 35% of their production on the centralized markets in Romania, according to an order of the national energy regulation agency ANRE, cited by local Economica.net.

The obligation is to be maintained during the following years, but the percentages are lower, reads the order.

"Oil & gas producers are obliged to carry out transactions on the centralized markets of natural gas in Romania, in a transparent and non-discriminatory way, and to sell a certain percentage of the annual natural gas production destined for domestic consumption, as it follows: 35% in 2015, less than 30% in 2016, less than 25% in 2017 and less than 20% in 2018," reads the order.
