Romanian natural gas transporter Transgaz ended the first half of 2015 with a net profit of RON 321.5 million (EUR 72.4 million), up 9% year-on-year.  Its total costs dropped by 7%, to RON 478 million (EUR 107.6 million), while the total income remained relatively stable, to RON 865.6 million (EUR 194.9 million), according to the company’s financial report.

In the same period last year, the company registered a net profit of RON 294.3 million (almost EUR 66 million), while its revenues amounted to RON 870.2 million (EUR 195.5 million).

Transgaz is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. It is controlled by the state, which holds a 58.5 percent stake in the company.
