Romanian Government approves sale of 20% in Tarom airline on Bucharest Stock Exchange

The Romanian Government has recently approved the privatization strategy for the National Society of Romanian Air Transport "Tarom SA". The privatization will be made by selling a 20 percent stake in the company's share capital in accordance with the commitments made with the international financial institutions.

The Ministry of Transport was mandated to take the necessary measures to implement the privatization strategy and to sell the 20 percent stake through the secondary initial public offering method (IPO) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The decision on the moment when the stake will be sold on the stock exchange will be taken by the Executive, according to the Government.
