Romanian Government to postpone 3% price increase for gas
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Enterprise wants Romania to eliminate a legislative provision that forces gas producers in Romania to primarily deliver gas from internal production to the population, and Romanian authorities will not apply the price increase scheduled for October 1, reports local news agency Mediafax.
According to the calendar of the gas market liberalization assumed by the Government via agreements with the IMF and the European Commission, the price of gas delivered to the population should grow by 3% from October 1.
