Romanian Govt. wipes out EUR 248 mln debts of companies in defense industry
The Romanian government recently wiped out debts of RON 1.1 billion (EUR 248 million) of state-owned companies in the defense industry.
“Via the emergency ordinance adopted by the government, fiscal obligations worth RON 1.1 billion owed by some companies in the defense industry are canceled,” reads a statement of the Ministry of Economy.
The companies that had their debts cancelled are: Tohan Zarnesti, Carfil, Metrom, Uzina Mecanica Cugir, Fabrica de Arme Cugir, Uzina Mecanica Plopeni, Uzina Mecanica Sadu, Uzina Mecanica Mija, Uzina Automecanica Moreni, Arsenal-Resita, Uzina Mecanica Bucuresti, Electromecanica Ploiesti, Uzina de Produse Speciale Dragomiresti, Pirochim Victoria and Fabrica de Pulberi Fagaras.
