Romanian gymnasts, triumphant at the Gymnastics World Cup

The Gymnastics World Cup in Gent, Belgium was dominated by the Romanian athletes, who won two events - Sandra Izbasa, the floor exercise and Ana Porgras, the balance beam, and ranked second in the vault event by Dana Chelaru and uneven bars by Ana Porgras.

Porgras had a good evolution which brought her the first place with 14.775 points, far ahead of Yilin Yang from China, who came in second with 14.100 points and Lianfang Wu, China, who came in third with 13.650 points. Olympic champion Izbasa won the floor event with 14.325 points, followed by Julie Crocket from Belgium - 13.600 points and Roni Rabinovitz from Israel - 13.450 points. Diana Chelaru ranked 5th with 13.275 points in the floor event.
