Romanian Intelligence Service: Tax evasion down in 3 years
Tax evasion went down in Romania in the last two to three years, from 22-27% of the Gross Domestic Products, to 18-20%, according to estimations from the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), quoted by Mediafax.
The biggest tax evasion areas are the Value Added Tax – 12%, and the social insurances – 2.4%. The food industry is home to the highest level of tax evasion, followed by agriculture and constructions, according to SRI.
