Romanian Alina Piciorea, former Head of Treasury Corporate & Retail Sales with Piraeus Bank in Romania, was recently recruited by the investment bank Nomura and started working at its London office at the beginning of March. Piciorea, 29, had been working with Piraeus since 2007, after a one and a half year spell with Credit Europe Bank.

With Nomura, Piciorea deals with Emerging Market Sales. The 29-year old hods a BSc from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest in International Affairs and in Finance and Banking, as well as a degree from DOFIN - Doctoral School of Finance. Nomura is an Japanese investment bank, with has subsidiaries all over the world. Its main European offices are in London, while other subsidiaries are in Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland, among others.
