Romanian Black Sea coast town of Jurilovca inaugurates new tourist port
The town of Jurilovca on the Romanian coast of the Black Sea inaugurated a new tourist port this past weekend, with a seven-minute drone show. Over 30,000 people attended the opening event.
The new tourist port in Jurilovca has a capacity of 180 docking spots, divided into an area for fishermen and one for tourists and local residents. The final investment amounts to RON 19.4 million (some EUR 3.9 million).
The mayor of Jurilovca, Eugen Ion, arrived at the event by water and disembarked from the first boat to officially dock at the new port.
"The show also featured a group of guides and children from Jurilovca, who accompanied the boats by paddling in kayaks. The drone show with over 200 drones was designed by ERK-C and staged by Evsky Show, the only company in Romania responsible for these spectacular aerial performances. The music was specially composed by Nicu Alifantis, who came to Jurilovca in May, where he collaborated with Juraveli, one of the local community choirs," stated the Jurilovca municipality in a press release cited by News.ro.
Also performing on stage during the inauguration of the port were Radu Captari, Nicolae Voiculeţ, the Millenium band from Chișinău, Olga Alixei, and Valentina Grigore. Local ensembles such as Juraveli, Reabinuska, and Sfitilina, as well as the children from Jurilovca, were also present, opening the show with a series of traditional songs and dances.
