Romanian economist Radu Craciun will be the new research director and chief economist with Romanian lender BCR. From February 2014, he will coordinate the macroeconomic analysis and capital market activities within the BCR group.

Craciun has over ten years of experience in analysis and research on capital markets. Previously the Deputy General Manager and Chief Investments Officer with Eureko Pensions Romania, Craciun also worked as head of financial markets and research with former ABN Amro and Royal Bank of Scotland. He was also head of equity research with ABN Amro Securities, as well as a senior consultant with Roland Berger.

Radu Craciun holds an EMBA from ASEBUSS and the University of Washington, as well as a Msc in aircraft engineering from the Polytechnics University in Bucharest. His LinkedIn profile is here.
