Romanian managers sacrifice personal life for career
Half of Romanian managers spend up to 10 hours a day at the office and 90% of these say they also take some work at home at least once a week, according to an online survey conducted by Dynamic HR.
“When seven out of ten managers say they work on weekends at least once a month, when six in ten say they don’t keep or they don’t know if they keep a balance between work and private life, perhaps we can say we have a situation worthy of attention. For them, the concept of balance between the two situations, professional and private, remains to be discovered or implemented,” said Simona Nicolaescu, business owner Dynamic HR, cited by local Dailybusiness.ro.
The study revealed that 30% of respondents give priority to work “quite often”, to the detriment of time spent with family or friends, while other 40% do so “sometimes”.
