Romanian media suggest the country's Economy Minister Andrei Gerea resigned from his Government seat and that a possible replacement is Teodor Atanasiu from the National Liberal Party, a former Defense Minister.

This resignation comes only hours after the Finance Minister Daniel Chitoiu chose to resign, and days after the former Interior Minister Radu Stroe also stepped down.

Gerea only held the Economy Ministry seat for four months, after his predecessor Varujan Vosganian stepped down.

According to Romanian media, this is in fact a partial Government reshuffle, rather than a series of resignations on personal reasons.
