Romanian MedLife rents Rompetrol's former 3,000 sqm headquarter in Bucharest

05 September 2011

Romanian private healthcare operator MedLife has recently rented a 3,000 sqm building in Victoriei Square, located in the capital city Bucharest, according to CBRE Romania. The 10-floored building, which used to host Rompetrol's headquarters, will be exclusively used by MedLife. At the first floors an occupational medicine clinic will be opened.

Previously, the building was occupied by the Rompetrol group that moved last year in City Gate tower in Bucharest. However, Rompetrol remained the owner of the building located in Victoriei Square.

MedLife is active on the market in Romania since 1996. The Romanian private healthcare operator has recently opened a pediatric hospital in Bucharest, following an investment of EUR 13.5 million. The new hospital, on 5,200 sqm, has a total capacity of 132 beds and can cater to around 400 patients a month.

MedLife reported an increase of 27 percent in business in 2010, to EUR 33 million and a profit of about EUR 2.7 million, up 11.76 percent over 2009.
