Romanian Minister: A third of all employees earn minimum wages
The Romanian Government could publish next month the new draft project on unified wages.
This will allow state employees to foresee their salary changes over the next two years, said the Minister Delegate for Social Dialogue Liviu Pop, cited by local Economica.net.
He added that half of state employees and 35% of all employees will have the minimum wage by mid-2016, after the minimum wage rise from 2012.The minimum salary will reach about RON 1,200 (EUR 270) in July next year.
The Government should step in with clear changes, Pop added. Three ministries currently discuss the draft law on the unified wage, which will soon launch for public debate.
