The Department for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Business Environment and Tourism has requested the Ministry of Finance a EUR 38.2 million budget in 2015 to finance SMEs, nearly three times the amount alloted this year.

"Immediately after the approval of the 2015 budget we want to start running all our programs to support small and medium sized companies. We have the necessary funds for these programs, we asked the Ministry of Finance for a significantly increased budget from EUR 13.5 million to EUR 38.2 million and we’ve made sure that we have the minimis aid budget for another 550 entrepreneurs,” said the Minister for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism Florin Jianu, cited by local Mediafax.
